I was wondering, has anyone ever tried to adapt monsters from other tabletop settings to ChroD? I know there's plenty of Delta Green/Call of Cthulhu influence both ways, but has anyone tried it with any other monsters?
What made me think of this idea was the Book of Unremitting Horror. Despite the name, it only occasionally reaches Vile Darkness-level unintentional silliness, and is for the most part a very interesting urban-fantasy-personal-horror bestiary of completely original monsters. The illustrations are fantastically gross, too. It also comes with a couple nice adventures that could easily be adapted into Blue Book or Hunter stories, and the creatures themselves could be adapted into ChroD in any number of ways.
For example, one of them is a sort of unborn god of murder that a cult of serial killers is trying to breed (yes, it does get pretty over the top), and it would be very easy to use that as a Hunter antagonist.
Lusus Naturae and the Teratic Tome are for LotFP and assume a fantasy setting, but a lot of the ideas in them (especially LN) could easily be used as springboards or inspiration for ChroD antagonists. There are a lot of really wonderful, often darkly whimsical ideas there, and a lot that would be especially good for some really freaky Changeling antagonists.
